Refund and Returns Policy
Last updated 6 October 2026.
We want you to be happy with what you buy from Khalamazoo Hardware. This policy explains how returns and refunds work at our stores. It does not limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).
Defective goods
Under the CPA, if a product is defective, unsafe or not fit for the purpose it is normally used for, you may return it within six months of delivery or collection. You can choose a repair, a replacement or a refund. We may inspect the product first to confirm the defect, and the claim does not apply to damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, or normal wear and tear.
Changed your mind
Unused products in their original, undamaged packaging can be returned or exchanged at the store where you bought them, at the store's discretion. Please bring your invoice or till slip. Returns of this kind are usually accepted within a reasonable time of purchase; ask the store about its time limit when you buy.
What cannot be returned
- Products cut, mixed or made to your measurements, such as cut timber, cut steel, cut sheeting or tinted paint.
- Products that have been used, installed, fitted, laid or mixed.
- Bagged products that have been opened or exposed to moisture, such as cement, plaster and tile adhesive.
- Special orders brought in for you, unless they are defective.
Wrong or short deliveries
Please check your goods when you collect them or when they are delivered, and tell the store straight away if anything is missing, damaged or not what you ordered. Note it on the delivery note before you sign.
Refunds
Approved refunds are paid using the same method you paid with, or as a credit note if you prefer. Card and EFT refunds can take a few working days to reflect, depending on your bank.
How to return
Bring the product with your invoice or till slip to the store, or contact us first on WhatsApp or by email at pirandson@gmail.com. Hours and directions are on our visit us page.
